This project all began when Alex, an old friend of mine who I hadn't seen in quite some time, visited for a weekend and we got talking about work.

You see, although Alex has a good job, he finds it more than a bit boring and feels like it is a dead end. He's in his mid thirties like myself and is starting to get tired and worn down by the daily mindless commute to and from the office each day.

He wants more freedom in his life and more time to enjoy himself and he noticed that I now have the kind of freedom he would like because of my internet business.

I should mention I recently quite my well paid "day" job to go full time on my internet business which I have built up in my part time over the last couple of years.

The business earns well over $10,000 a month.

Not a huge amount I admit, especially compared to what it is possible to earn on line, but ask any of my friends and they'll tell you what a lazy sod I am.

Back to the story..

Alex asked me to show him how I made money from the internet.

I tried, but it's just too much to teach in an hour or so over a beer.

When he'd gone it kept nagging at me that that had to be a simple way of helping him to get an online business started, to help him up those first difficult step.

A few days later it came to me..

I make websites for a living, so why not set up a website showing Alex what to do, running him through each step in detail and taking feedback and questions from him at each stage to make sure he got the lessons.

Alex was keen, so this site was born..

Then I realised that a Blog would be a much better way of teaching the process step by step, so this site is now simply here as an introduction to anyone else who wants to join our little club..

How's it going to work?

I've now set up a seperate site that is a Blog where I can post simple step by step lessons for Alex to follow to help him get up and running as quickly as possible.

Alex will also post questions and feedback on the lessons and his progress as well..

What makes this different to every other "make money on the internet" site?

Most site just tell you which "new" money making course or software to buy and use to make money, they don't tend to lead you step by step through the process, covering the basics like: -

• how to pick a subject for your website
• how to choose a domainn name
• where to register a domain
• where to find a good and cheap web host
• how to upload the site to the host
• how to get the site in to the search engines for free
• how to get traffic to site for free
• how to turn those visitors in to a profit..

Basic stuff true, but most "Guru's" tend to overlook the basics and leave you cold..
